  1. Technically, Late Dec – early March is summer in the southern hemisphere. BTW, come to Washington DC on the trip home.

  2. Any chance of an extended tour? I’ve got a super comfy couch if you stop in Chicago. And beer. And Pizza. Pizza you could swim in!

  3. How did I miss this? I check your page 4 or 5 times a week. Please add a venue in the SF bay area. Preferably on the north east side.

  4. Any chance for a stop somewhere in the Midwest? You’re kinda going coast-to-coast and skipping the whole middle.

  5. I lived in Greater Boston until a year ago, and I just went out to visit last week! Bad timing on my part I suppose. Cleveland probably wouldn’t have made the list anyways (if you stopped in the Midwest).

  6. I would definitely drive to Chicago for this if you made a stop there! I know the midwest isn’t nearly as exciting as California, but people here love you too!!! 🙂 XKCD brightens our days, you know.

  7. I would love if you made a stop near Chicago or St. Louis! I’ll bring you a pizza with your choice of toppings if you do decide to squeeze in a stop! 🙂 I’d like you to know your comics are very popular on IMSA’s campus.

  8. Yet another book tour I really want to visit but stops nowhere even near Cleveland…

  9. Come to Europe, please? (._.)

There are also a lot of geeks here in the Old World who would love to meet you! You are responsible for a lot of procrastination of scientists, especially with the time comic #1190. I guess paper output dropped considerably until the comic was finished, with the Religion of the One True Comic and all… 😉
BTW: Your jelly beans p < .05 comic is something I hand out to students to explain the role of the significance threshold in statistical testing.

  10. I’d like to second the notion of a trip to the old world! We even might have dragons or something!

  11. As there is a german version of the book simply hire a german speaking Doppelgänger to do a tour across Germany!

  12. Please, come to Cambridge, UK, not Cambridge, US, this place is so much better. Or just send me a free copy of your book in the mail. You know you want to.

  13. Awww, I was hoping for Ireland like a few others, but there is only so far one person can go. Maybe another time?

  14. What? You’re missing Powell’s City of Books in Portland, Oregon? Go ask Joe Hill how cool the place is.

  15. I live in Austin, but would drive to Houston, San Antonio, or Dallas. If you came to Austin, I would see to it that our Gov was not in town. I’ve ordered your damned book!

  16. Flying across the pond to the Old World is a pain. You can go international with a short drive to Buffalo and crossing into Niagara Falls, Canada! It’s beautiful here, we’re very welcoming, and I promise the polar bears will leave you alone.
Plus, everyone already speaks your language — math!

  17. Switzerland please! We have the CERN, mountains, chocolate, cheese, beautifull lakes..did I mention delicious chocolate? And its only a short trip for the folks from Italy, Germany, France and Austria 🙂

  18. You should check your server logs to find geographical areas to visit that visit you the most. I’m sure you’ll find Columbus, OH near the top — better wait just a few minutes though ( whips up curl script )

Or geekier yet, solve a Location Allocation convex optimization problem weighted by population density, education, 90 minute market, etc. I’ll help you tweak the parameters until Columbus comes up near the top.

  19. Kinda funny how everyone is asking… why not stop in my city? Which is really just a slightly more polite way of saying – I don’t care about my city, I really just want you to stop at my house!

I live in Wauwatosa, WI near the zoo. We have a spare bedroom and two dogs. It would be fun. I’ll cook you dinner and we’ll have wine. Bring a signed copy of your book please. 🙂

    Let me know!

  20. I would be thrilled if you would stop in my state! Rhode Island may be small, but we have lots of heart! And beaches! You could swing by between Cambridge and NY, do a morning presentation for my classes, and then continue on your merry way. If you think this makes your schedule a little too tight, you could pop in on your way back.

I would love to go to your MA date and location, however I have a duty as a physics teacher to get a good night’s sleep for the sake of my students. I couldn’t deprive them of even a day of vital Science knowledge. And yes, I also use your cartoons in class. I always start the year with your Metric Conversions one… with a smidge of white-out applied to make it high school friendly!

  21. I will happily drive, or swim… or moonwalk… or frump… all the way to Wauwatosa, WI to join you, Nick, and his two dogs for wine and a discussion about ball pits and their noticeable absence from modern interior decorating schemes… you can have dibs on the spare room… I’m sure the zoo keepers can find a place for me to crash!

Besides… how cool would that look on a tour T-Shirt:
    New York
    Seattle
    San Francisco
    Berkeley
    and Wauwatosa!

Failing that… I would like to add my shouts to the CHICAGO crowd!
