  1. Swing-by Salt Lake City! …or Provo. I’d be there if you did. Provo has Google Fiber and Salt Lake has a hundred year old temple that took 40 years to build…

    …and mountains. Beautiful mountains.

  2. Is there any chance that you could get to Texas? There are a lot of smart people in Austin, and that’s only an hour’s drive for me. In Texas terms, that’s right next door!

  7. I don’t think anyone could say it better than Keith did. This so-called tour is pathetic.

  8. Is your book child-safe? I have a nine-year-old nephew who would lap up stuff like that but if it ain’t child-appropriate, that won’t fly.

  9. Hank would like the book tour to come to Vero Beach, FL. It is half way between West Palm Beach and Orlando. It is very beautiful there in late October.

  11. well, with the velocity required to do that swing by, you certainly also could visit europe… I’d be really happy, if you could include a short stopover…

  12. If you can, you should come to Portland, Oregon. (Thought Bend would be most convenient…) My boyfriend and I really want to come see you, but the closest you’re getting to us otherwise is Seattle. For now, we’ll be in the standby line just in case we can get in.

  13. Y u no visit DC??? I’m sure we could benefit from your useful analogies and illustrations to explain global warming to Congress.

  14. Ok, what’s the threshold?

You need more events, and it’s hard to organize them all. Say we can get a venue and attendees. How many people do we need to get for you to consider adding it to the tour?

  18. You should put Pittsburgh between your NYC and Seattle dates.

We have CMU, Pitt, Duquesne, and a bunch of other universities whose student and alum populations and would make it worth your while.

  23. Well, honestly there may not be as many smart people in parts of the OH and MI areas as there should be. But there are some and we try to stick together! There are some good colleges around though, and the Great Lakes make for an interesting and scenic area. So hey, if you make it to our area, those of us that can at least spell XKCD would like it a lot… 🙂

  24. I’d like to put in 500,000 votes for Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK. It’s near Manchester (the UK one. It’s also near the other one but only if you’re using a galactic scale). Is that enough? If not I can get a bucket load more…

  25. So, Idaho State University, with five (5) linear accelerators on-line and more in storage AND its own nuclear reactor AND Idaho National Labs just up the road doesn’t appeal? Oh, woe! Shall Pocatello always remain XKCDless? I would fling myself into the river except it’s pretty shallow and I might sprain an ankle or bruise myself.

Come to Raleigh in NC (well Cary is actually nicer). We have three major universities full of geeks that would mob you. You would be an actual celebrity down here…

  28. My tale of woe is just as woeful, because Randall will be in the Bay Area two nights, but it’s all sold out nine days after the announcement. My hope is that these engagements go well and encourage him to do more!
