  1. Thank you, Keith Lofstrom, for the reality check.
Thank you, Randall, for all you’ve shared with us. You’ve brought untold joy. Blessings on you and your dearest only.

  2. Not that you can change it this late in the game, but you could draw up a bunch of the midwest with a quick stop in SLC, UT! (Proof: the SLC comic con is the largest in the country after only a year, because people in the midwest have nothing else to do BECAUSE EVERYONE SKIPS OVER THEM!)

  3. Come to New Orleans on your book tour. We have good food. I promise to buy your book if you come.

  4. South. Go South. How about a Southern swing on the tour? . . . Well, maybe a Southern *winter* tour. You probably don’t want to come down here until it cools off a little, like maybe late October.

  5. Anywhere in the DC Metroplex! Traffic is so bad here you’d have to start at 8:30pm on a weeknight, but weekends are a bit easier to negotiate. I know a number of folks who will make every effort to be there, myself and my beau included.

  9. You should stop at Yale, in New Haven, Friday morning! It’s in between Boston and New York and you’ll definitely be welcomed! I’m an undergrad there and would love to coordinate a welcoming party. If not the book store, the residential colleges would definitely host you. Rob DenBleyke of Cyanide and Happiness came a few years ago and the room was completely packed!

  10. Book Tour? Book tour????

You go to Terminal A, Atlanta Airport, in the first morning. The world comes to you.
You go to Terminal B, Atlanta Airport, on the second morning. The rest of the world comes to you.
You go to Terminal C, Atlanta Airport, on the third morning. The rest of the world comes to you.
You go to Terminal D, Atlanta Airport, on the fourth morning. The rest of the world comes to you.
You go to Terminal E, Atlanta Airport, on the fifth morning. The rest of the world comes to you.
You go to Terminal F, Atlanta Airport, on the six morning. The rest of the world comes to you.
You go to terminal T, Atlanta Airport, on the seventh morning. And you go home … because the Lord only needed six days to create the world, and you need a rest.

  11. um, Louisville Ky is really nice… we have horses. ok, so the horses are smarter than most of the people here… but it might be a nice change to give your autograph to some four footed fans.

  12. You should bump your schedule by one day so you are flying on September 11th. In addition Thanksgiving and Christmas, is the best travel day of the year. Cheap fares, empty seats next to you, and security lines are staffed up by under-utilized.

But, seriously, thanks for all your humor and insights.

  14. Two questions:

Any plans for a version for my much loved Kobo ebook reader?

Any plans to visit Australia? It’s nice here and the stories about deadly spiders are much exaggerated.

  16. I’m seconding Louisville, KY! It’s got a great little downtown scene and plus you can draw people in from Bloomington, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Lexington with ease. (All of those cities have big universities and a high nerd population who love you like hotcakes!) And if you aren’t stopping anywhere else close by, you could probably draw from Knoxville, Nashville, and Columbus, too! (Because of the aforementioned hotcake-like love.)

  18. Do consider visiting Ithaca, NY on your way back. Finger Lakes wine tasting, amazing geology, yeasty political activism, Cornell’s synchrotron, Ithaca College’s free jazz and classical concerts, and the sincere appreciation of fans from all over upstate NY.

Also upvoting SLC and the Canadian cities already suggested. Plenty of intelligent life between the coasts.

  19. Well if you go to Ithaca, stop by Albany on the way home. We can assemble at one of the rest areas along I-90 to minimize the impact on your schedule.

(Little factoid: Albany has been called the “gateway to NY state’s Capital Region,” FYI).

  24. Given the lack of a map scale, I am forced to conclude (with great pleasure) that you will be in Cambridge (UK) at some point in September. Slightly unsure which variable may be incorrect – possibly the name of the bookshop should be Foyles.

  25. Come to Jerusalem! Or anywhere in Israel, I would drive over to see you. You have a lot of fans here. And I know, there’s this minor issue of a war, but it will totally be over by September. (This round, anyway) Come!!

  26. Please consider stopping in Iowa City. The Writers Workshop is there at the University of Iowa. There’s a huge lit community. You’ll be treated like royalty. Royalty of a rather small country that mostly flies below radar, but royalty nonetheless.

  28. What, you’re going to drive right through my house (according to your map) and not stop and say hi? Shoot, I would definitely probably buy your book! Just because CT is small and probably insignificant, all the famous people still want to live here. Reason enough to check us out!

  29. You call that a Book Tour? Looks more like a West Coast vacation with a bad layover in NYC. That can happen when you’re trying to use reward miles.

“6 places affluent people live plus the internet Book Tour!”
“What If the South. Midwest, and Middle U.S. don’t buy books Book Tour!”
“What If 10 days isn’t a book tour Book Plug-cation!”
“What if nobody buys my book since the content is available online for free OH WAIT Rich People Book Tour!”
“What If F**K OREGON! Book Tour!”

But seriously, good luck, if you have make rich draw more comics 😀
