  18. I read the latest comic today, “Two Years”. I wanted to let you know, through the past few months of following them, your comic has brought me great joy. I wanted to thank you for them, there is finally a continuing set of stories that requires a level of thinking beyond Calvin and Hobbes (Don’t get me wrong I love that one too). It Started out as finding humor in the physics and math-related strips, but the ones, like the one today, moved me. Once again, thank you for this strip. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary .

Hopefully you two will have a few years together before one of you eventually dies, leaving the other to wallow in sadness, staring at the other’s picture with the occasional plaintive sigh until they eventually die to. Oh well, look on the bright side, in 800 million years the sun will boil away Earth’s oceans, ending all life, and your marriage will have meant nothing!
