  1. And the theme of the future affecting the past shows up in a number of C&H comics…coincidence? Too bad I’m too lazy to dig any of them up.

  2. ” Todays comic reminds me of that Val Kilmer movie Real Genius. You know, where they build the laser and the government takes it. Anyway, there is a scene near the beginning of the movie where Val?s character is remotely controlling a flying gyroscope, and ever since then, I have wondered if it was possible to make a gyroscope that flies. o they normally, or is t a product of various fictions? ”

it was just a circle shaped gas powered RC airplane, make one yo self!

  3. I had no idea there was a need for guitar-in-shower photos. That being said, you did a great job. They are fun and tasteful (but, you are correct, not appropriate for the office).

  4. Since it’s still a topic, I just have to say that the Cuddle Mattress wouldn’t work. Your shoulder is at the top of your side; if your arm’s hanging free, then you’re supporting your body with your neck. Think about it: stick your arm and and imagine you’re laying down; which two areas are going to have the weight?

What we need is a mattress with a trench cut out of it that one can lay over with their arm in, but that lets their arm still support their weight.

If your neck lies lower than your torso when you are horizontal, then you have some severe issues with your rib-cage.

    Latest comic: female housewife BPS?

from what i could gather this is from an old ask.com advertisement?:

We did not invent the algorithm. The algorithm consistently finds Jesus. The algorithm killed Jeeves.
The algorithm is banned in China. The algorithm is from Jersey. The algorithm constantly finds Jesus.
This is not the algorithm. This is close.

  9. Just got back from a little conference that included Don Knuth (a hero of mine), so was gut-busted laughing at the latest (http://www.xkcd.com/342/). Thanks. I only hope that Don is alive when my daughter is of an appropriate age.

  11. Hey, “our lowerbound here is O(n log n)” doesn’t make much sense!

You should use big Omega instead: “our lowerbound here is Omega(n log n)”

I ONLY use it for XKCD.
It was also the sole reason i got the extension.
This of course assumes you’re on a windows machine, which I think is required.
